Wize Sleep is operated by NextSense Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Wize Sleep mobile application.
Information We Collect
Health Data: With your permission, Wize Sleep reads sleep-related data from Apple Health, including total sleep time, sleep stages (REM, deep, light), heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), respiratory rate, blood oxygen (SpO2), and restfulness metrics. This data stays on your device and is used solely to compute your sleep score.
Account Information: If you create an account, we collect your email address and display name for authentication purposes.
Usage Analytics: If you opt in to sharing usage data, we collect anonymized analytics about feature usage to improve the app. You can opt out at any time in Settings.
How We Use Your Information
- To calculate your sleep score and percentile benchmarks
- To display your sleep history and trends
- To improve the app experience (anonymized analytics only, if opted in)
Data Storage and Security
Your health data is processed on-device. Sleep scores and session summaries may be synced to our secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud / Firebase) if you are signed in, to enable cross-device access and backup. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Third-Party Services
We may use the following third-party services:
- Firebase — authentication, cloud storage, crash reporting
- Mixpanel — anonymized usage analytics (opt-in only)
- Apple Health — read-only access to sleep and health data
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal health data with third parties. Anonymized, aggregated data may be used for research purposes.
Your Rights
You can:
- Revoke Apple Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings
- Opt out of analytics in the app's Settings
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us
Children's Privacy
Wize Sleep is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email.
